Bishop & Co. is seeking qualified candidates for an exciting opportunity for its client based in Honolulu. DIRECTOR of PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE (PMO) & OPERATIONS EXCELLENCE #16236 Summary Establishes, maintains and enhances the strategic planning, project management, and process improvement projects the Company uses to develop, prioritize and manage key initiatives in support of its strategic plan. Ensures that implementation and required activities are accomplished according to the Company’ s objectives. Provides coaching and direction in project management, business process innovation, and business/financial analysis techniques. Responsibilities Project Management Office (PMO) coordinates the Company’ s principal & strategic projects. It represents the link between businesses (Retail, Commercial & Marketing) and the support services involved in the running of the projects (IT, Operations, Legal & Compliance, etc.).
Coordinates the development and on-going enhancement of the Company’ s project management and process improvement, including framework, methodology, procedures, and communication to all affected parties.
Manages implementation of the Company’ s projects, along with progress toward defined objectives and use of the required tools and other activities.
Is instrumental in the development and assessment of strategic planning initiatives.
Develops and enhances the implementation and administration of the Company’ s Policy and Procedure Policy.
Leads initiatives to reduce errors and maximize service quality to customers as well as remove non-value-add processes that negatively impact customer satisfaction.
Conducts or oversees training on project management/process improvement projects.
Provides support and training to deploy Lean Six Sigma and continuous process improvement across operations.
Qualifications 4-year college degree in Business, Management, Management Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field
Minimum 10 years’ experience leading process improvement initiatives, including projects that incorporate the DMAIC process, Lean Six Sigma deployment, along with project management of large, complex, corporate-level projects
In-depth knowledge of and experience in applying project management / process improvement concepts and practices and financial outcomes analysis
Process improvement experience in a client and/or financial services environment preferred
Able to conceptualize new ideas and complex technical matters quickly
Able to monitor and interpret information for decision-making and presentation
Prioritizes and manages multiple assignments in a demanding work environment with rapidly changing priorities
Excellent written, verbal, listening and presentation communication skills
Six Sigma Belt Certification preferred
