ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY MAINTENANCE II
Title: ELECTRONICS TECH MAINT II Location: Moody AFB, GA 31699 Industry: Department of Defense Job Duties: The Aircraft Electronics Technology Maintenance II will assist with installing, clamping, terminating and testing electrical cables/harnesses.
The electronics technician will need to understand aircraft avionics Communications/Navigations, Guidance Control, Electronic Warfare, Electro/Environmental systems and sensor The Aircraft Electrician will need to be proficient at reading and interpreting manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and a method of removing, installing repairing or replacing damaged wiring, malfunctioning or damaged components. The Electrician will inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain HC-130J avionic/electrical systems, components, and related equipment. The Electrician will remove and install aircraft components as required, conducts functional tests of components and systems. KSAOs:
Aircraft Electronics Technician must possess competent abilities in the use and application of hand tools, power tools, machines, work stands, support equipment and special tools/calibrated test equipment. Possess experience fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harness. Experience dealing with HAXMAT/HAZEWASTE handling, corrosion control, inspection/repair, maintenance inspection, aircraft launch and recovery, aircraft servicing, towing, and jack/shoring aircraft. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with other crew members. Must possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others. Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up. Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills. Ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations. High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently. Ability to multi-task. Must haves:
Must have an active Government Security Clearance. High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Minimum six (6) years of Com/Nav, aircraft avionics and electrical system experience.
