Position’s Title: Press Brake Operator Reports to: Department Lead Position Summary: • Operates assigned equipment for assigned work order in a safe and productive manner. Conduct the work activity at the direction of the Department Lead. • Stop process if non-conforming exists and notify supervisor. Essential Functions: • Operators insert and remove metal material in a variety of manufacturing equipment. • Ensures product produced meets or exceeds customer specifications • Reviews work orders and follows process specifications to avoid costly errors. • Follow all safety steps and procedures to ensure safe equipment operation. • Notify supervisor to resolve process, product, equipment, and production issues. • Regular attendance is required. Education/Experience: • High school or equivalent • Some knowledge in operation of manufacturing equipment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Ability to learn how to operate punch press, press brake, autosert, and other manufacturing equipment; Ability to understand and follow job routing instructions; Knowledge of common sense safety rules and appropriate conduct and courtesy towards other employees; Skills to learn simple equipment set up, learn about tooling, fixtures, tolerances and the use of measuring gauges. Ability to communicate effectively with others. Physical Demands; • Physical activities will include repetitive turning, bending, reaching, and handling metal material or parts to and from lift cart or bin and to and from manufacturing equipment. Job may include standing or sitting in one position while operating equipment for up to 2-3 hours while wearing safety harness. Job may include operating hand held sanders, grinders, and other small hand and power tools and operating fork trucks (training required). Exposure to rough metal edges; cuts, scrapes and metallic slivers are common. • Lifting material to insert into equipment – weight of material may exceed 25 pounds. Use legs to exert force to push lift cart from operation to operation. • Vision requirements – Good vision required. Job will at times require close vision ability to inspect parts for defects. Work Environment; • Exposure to moderately loud and loud equipment. Hearing protection highly recommended. Eye protection is required while in the shop area. Work closely with moving mechanical equipment and parts. Proper protective footwear highly recommended.

Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goods. Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy. Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status. Responsible for supervisory oversight of approximately 5-7 employees to include, but not limited to, monitoring and evaluating performance, conducting performance evaluations, approval of time off requests, attendance tracking, providing coaching, counselling and disciplinary actions to resolve issues. Supervises and ensures efficient unloading/loading of delivery trucks/vehicles. Coordinates and schedules timely deliveries of raw materials and finished products. Ensures optimal inventory levels are maintained in order to fulfil the daily production and shipping needs. Manages the raw material transfers of the production and receiving forklift operators. Ensures forklifts and related equipment are kept in optimum working order by enforcing operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, requiring preventative maintenance, and coordinating repairs. Improves product rotations; IFO compliance in receiving warehouses. Continuous tracking and updating warehouse management system to better track raw materials. Maintains storage area and racking systems by organizing floor space, adhering to storage design principles, and recommends improvements. Actively participates in all plant safety initiatives; promotes safety and housekeeping initiatives by communicating policies to employee and ensuring compliance and engaging employees in 5S process. Supports and complies with all quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, facility safety, employee safety, preventatives maintenance programs and legality. Operate various forklifts including man-up turret lift forklift.   Receiving Supervisor Key Requirements/Qualifications: 5-7 years’ leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration preferred Proven warehouse supervisory experience required. Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements. Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required. Knowledge of warehouse software packages and advanced MS Office proficiency; experience with Syteline ERP preferred.
