Electrical PRO wanted - Generator Field Service Tech $60K-75K/year ($25-32.50/hr + OT) -- Final agreed pay rate tied to certs & experience Generous benefits package: medical, dental, and 401k Full time, long term, with stability. Fewer than 130 days +- annual) ** SEE TRAVEL PARAMETERS BELOW We're seeking a skilled electrical trades pro with generator service experience. This position operates out of the OSHKOSH WISCONSIN location. We need someone reliable and skilled, a good thinker, with field service experience.
Set up and operate electrical load bank systems ranging from 45kw-1500kw Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel and natural gas powered generators: fuel systems, lubrication systems, cooling systems, mechanical Troubleshoot, diagnose, & repair diesel, natural gas and liquid propane engine driven generator sets Write complete, detailed electronic reports promptly after project completion
Education and Experience:
2+ yrs operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of diesel driven generators, load banks, and electronic control systems Experience with a variety of power generation systems Military or trade/vocational school education is preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service skills (good people skills) Flexibility to adjust to changing fieldwork conditions Willingness to travel and work overtime Live near or able to relocate to the Oshkosh WI area
Travel Parameters: Local work There are a good number of local and out of area jobs that they may have to travel 1-2 hours to get to. The employee is home at the end of the day.
Out of town work There are "out of area" jobs that require over-night boarding, with workers returning home for the weekend. (nearly all weekends)
Compensation - ALL travel to and from all job sites is paid at the normal/overtime hourly rate.
Out of Town Travel - Company pays all boarding expense, and a $35.00 daily meal reimbursement An attempt is made to get workers home every weekend; rare exceptions, but workers are typically home every weekend An attempt is made to schedule work so there no back-to-back, consecutive "Out of Town" weeks.
