We are seeking candidates for a Maintenance Technician role. The Maintenance Technician will work 12-hour night shifts, and compensation for the position is $20.00+ per hour, depending on experience. COMPANY SUMMARY
This manufacturing company is a recognized global leader in precision custom plastic profile extrusions! They specialize in process development, application development, design consulting and specialized extrusions. They design & deliver innovative solutions to meet customer requirements while improving productivity, safety, efficiency, and reduce costs.
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
- Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency
- Repair all production equipment as needed
- Barrel and screw measurement, service, and maintenance
- Perform breakdown analysis and general housekeeping
- Upgrade production lines with new equipment/technology
- Assist Extrusion Operators in line changeovers
- Work independently under limited supervision
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS:
- Manufacturing Technology Degree preferred
- Experience with mechanical & basic electrical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings)
- Experience with product manuals and mechanical drawings (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs)
- Experience with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns
- A high level of communication and organization skills required
- Ability to physically lift heavy items required, up to 70 pounds
- Basic computer knowledge (Windows, Explorer and Email) required
