Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor' s degree OR equivalent years' (5+) experience as a Network Engineer.
Advanced working knowledge and experience with NAC (Network Access Controllers) as well as routing/switching protocols (Cisco ASR/ISR routers, Nexus 9K, 7K, 5K and 2K, Cisco Catalyst 3750 and 3850 stack switches).
Candidate will also participate in day-to-day functions that include firewalls requests and F5 VIP creations.
Advanced working knowledge and experience with network security (ASA Firewalls, Palo Alto Firewalls, IPSec, SSL VPN, URL Filtering/Layer 7 policies, NAC monitoring).
Advanced working knowledge of network monitoring protocols and/or systems (TAPs, SNMP, Syslog, Netflow, IP SLA, etc).
Working knowledge of application load balancing (F5 LTM, GTM, APM and ASM).
Working knowledge of Cisco Wireless technologies.
Create and update existing documentation for work performed.
Troubleshoots and resolves system service failures by identifying and analyzing the situation and provides corrective actions.
Develops, installs, and tests new network hardware and software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems.
Monitors systems activities and fine tunes system parameters and configuration to optimize performance and ensure security of systems.
Provides senior level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding systems architecture.
Approves system designs and functions as a project lead as required.
Facilitates the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions.
