Job Summary

The Sr. Project Management Office (PMO) Analyst will support the PMO and the respective PMOs in each line of business. This role will monitor the portfolio of projects delivered to ensure quality and adherence to the project delivery framework. The Sr. PMO Analyst will serve as the project manager and administrator for the implementation and enhancement of the current and future suite of PMO solutions and provide ongoing support to ensure consistent adoption and use. In addition to managing the project delivery tools, the Sr. PMO Analyst will manage portfolio analytics for demand, delivery and resourcing to ensure the portfolio is optimized and delivering effectively and efficiently. Finally, the Sr. PMO Analyst will maintain the project delivery methodology documentation and provide ongoing training and support while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement.


Essential Functions

Act as lead analyst and project manager for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of portfolio management and application lifecycle management tools.

Act as a system administrator and trainer for portfolio management and application lifecycle management tools.

Manage resource demand and capacity forecast models and reporting and facilitate resource assignment and reporting structures.

Manage collection and creation of PMO portfolio metrics, status reporting and dashboards.

Maintain project delivery methodology process documentation and supporting artifacts.

Perform regular methodology compliance audits and report findings.

Develop/maintain/deliver project delivery methodology onboarding training.

Enhance and monitor project delivery methodology based on feedback from lessons learned and portfolio analytics.

Provide recommendations for addressing shifting priorities, issues and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.   

Maintains effective communications with manager and stakeholders to ensure project status and issues are known.

Job Requirements

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor' s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent experience or education.

Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite as well as Visio and Project.

Experience in a PMO using multiple methodologies (e.g. agile, waterfall, etc.).

Experience as a user and/or administrator of enterprise project portfolio management and application lifecycle management tools.

Experience with resource management and demand modeling.

Strong customer service orientation and demonstrated ability to work effectively with various levels within the organization.

Excellent time management, critical thinking and analytical skills.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Minimum 5 years experience.


Preferred experience with Azure DevOps and Clarizen.

Preferred experience as a business analyst or a quality analyst on projects using formal methodologies.

Preferred experience with implementation of packaged, cloud based software.
