Doherty Career Solutions has partnered with one of the Midwest’s largest rotational molding manufacturers in their search for a 1st shift Production Supervisor to provide direction, training and development to production staff while ensuring that quality standards are met. Hours are Monday-Thursday 5:00am-4:00pm with occasional Fridays.


Production Supervisor Essential Responsibilities:

o   Work with shop staff in a manner that maximizes operations, efficiencies and safety objectives

o   Hold weekly meetings to discuss accomplishments, areas of improvement, issues and safety concerns

o   Partner with the mold set-up team on mold on/off changes, scheduling, and processes.

o   Look over tool condition (quality) prior to and while producing parts and take ownership to make necessary repairs as applicable, and/or ensure repairs are made that are outside of individual capability or capacity

o   Participate in the interviewing of candidates and take ownership of the new employee on-boarding process and on-going employee development

o   Participate in creating work instructions for standardization and repeated success, and in taking corrective and preventative action measures


Production Supervisor Essential Skills and Qualities:

o   High School Diploma required; college degree and/or coursework in manufacturing processes and supervisor training preferred

o   2+ years of manufacturing experience required

o   Ability to read/create/understand work instructions and procedures, and read prints and operating manuals

o   Effective analytical and problem-solving skills

o   Ability to lift 50 pounds, walk and stand for extended periods of time and be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, heat and cold
