Our busy and growing client in Phoenix, AZ is looking for a Bilingual Regional Human Resources Generalist on a contract to hire basis, but would consider direct hire for the right candidate. Company Profile:

Offering outstanding customer service Bilingual Regional Human Resources Generalist Role:
The HR Generalist will work closely with corporate HR to support Arizona regional HR functions.
Responsible for professionally performing HR related duties on operational levels.
In this role, you will handle responsibilities in recruiting/hiring, onboarding, payroll processing, employee relations, employment law compliance, and internal policy implementation.
Provide HR guidance and support on a day to day basis to Regional Director and supervisors ensuring that practices are consistent with Federal and State regulations.
Responsible to maintain relevant and up-to-date job knowledge in changing employment regulations specifically in Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, and Utah.
Ensure compliance with Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification.
Apply policies and procedures across the company and ensure consistency.
In this role, you will review timecards and ensure accuracy and compliance with FLSA regulations.
Process payroll adjustments and prepare payroll analysis reports for various users including Regional Directors.
Responsible for conducting new hire orientation and providing information about company benefits and company procedures and policies.
Ensure new hires complete company training and any other follow up training as required.
Assist with performance management process and prepare documentation for disciplinary procedures.
Responsible for tracking and verifying that disciplinary actions are applied according to company policy.
Conduct workplace investigations and alert management of workplace policy violations
Complete exit interviews, prepare employee separation reports, request termination/resignation checks per state requirements, and notify corporate office of terminations for timely processing.
Responsible for handling unemployment claims and representing the company in employment hearings.
Prepare incident reports of accidents and injuries and inform, report this to Corporate HR.
Ensure safety procedures are followed and report workplace risk management issues.
On a monthly basis, visit branches and speak with Sales Associates to understand and resolve any personnel issues before they escalate.
Identify potential HR liability and notify corporate HR of any risks. Bilingual Regional Human Resources Generalist Background Profile:
Bachelor’ s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, or equivalent certification in HR
4+ years’ experience in Human Resources
MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Experience with payroll and human resources software programs (HRIS)
Fully bilingual in Spanish and English with the ability to read, write and speak both fluently
Strong interpersonal skills and perceptiveness, and the ability to relate to individuals at all levels within the organization
Strong experience in compliance is required including state and federal laws, codes and regulations concerning HR administration – labor laws, FLSA, EEOC, ADA, Workers Comp, FML
Strong knowledge specifically of Arizona laws
Ability to coach and influence behavior and assist supervisors with employee issues
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Proven leadership ability and strong decision-making skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
Self-motivated, attention to detail, professionalism, and sense of urgency
