TriStarr is looking for a personable Staffing Specialist to join a large food manufacturer in Conestoga. The Staffing Specialist will be responsible for the overall staffing requirements for all levels and departments. They will identify, develop, and support recruitment sources and methods to provide quality candidates for all positions. The ideal candidate will be a role model and demonstrate the company s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others. Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss current and future needs.
Sources applicants by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, 3rd party recruiters, media, job fairs and online job boards;
Provides organization information, opportunities, and benefits;
Makes presentations related to HR Recruitment policy to all levels of organization.
Identifies, sources and promotes diverse recruiting sources and methods.
Creates job postings to be posted internally, externally and on any applicable online job boards.
Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications and reviewing the position(s) with hiring management.
Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzes responses; verifies references; compares qualifications to job requirements.
Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules; arranges travel, lodging, and meals; escorts applicant to interviews.
Understands current legislation and improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies, procedures and practices; reviews and enforces it with all levels of management.
Presents job offers & compensation including wage surveys, emphasizing benefits & perks.
Manages intern program by sourcing qualified intern applicants, interviewing and sourcing, conducting orientations; scheduling rotations and assignments; monitors intern job contributions; coaches interns; advises managers on training and coaching.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reads professional publications; maintains personal networks; participates in professional organizations.
Accomplishes HR and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Performs all duties within Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations and safety guidelines.
Will provide guidance to ensure programs, policies and practices are implemented and effective to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
In the absence of the HR Generalist, the Director, Human Resources & Diversity or his/her designee will assume decision making responsibilities that are necessary to assure food products are safe and meet quality requirements.
Will support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the Safe Quality Food (SQF) 2000 System.
Will hold all employees accountable to the Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles.
Demonstrates knowledge of continuous improvement and lean methodology.
Demonstrates ability to engage & coach Associates to effectively work in department & cross-functional teams to define & implement process improvements that provide value to the customer.
Demonstrates the ability to lead or facilitate department and cross-functional teams through implementation of continuous improvement projects.
EDUCATION and SKILLS REQUIRED: Bachelor s Degree in Business or related field 3+ years in an HR role and/or 2+ years in a high-level recruiting role Strong understanding of state and federal employment laws Strong Microsoft experience, especially in Excel Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Ability to organize and prioritize complex projects LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Direct Hire
