Opportunity Snapshot Title : Strategic Account Manager Location: Florida (remote) Salary : Base + Commission (OTE $230k+) Industry : Education (K-12/Higher Ed) Required Experience : 5+ years of Ed Tech sales (K-12) Position Overview The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for developing strong relationships with existing large accounts, prospecting, developing, and closing new business to achieve revenue targets in the education markets (K-12, higher education, and libraries) within the Washington, DC/Baltimore region. Develop and maintain relationships with Superintendents, Technology Coordinators, Technology Directors, key administrators, curriculum coordinators, and education leaders in government. Identify and establish new contacts as appropriate for each assigned territory and education market (higher education, K-12, and libraries). Develop strong, long-term client relationships for future growth and expansion of existing clients. Guide sales efforts and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction with products and services. Understand E-Rate , a program which is administered by the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) under direction of the Federal Communication Commission (FCC). Gain and maintain a high level of proficiency with services and solutions including Internet Access, WAN, Access Layer Services, security solutions, and others. Share information regarding solutions with prospects and clients and communicate the company’s focus on quality, value, and integrity. Qualifications and Experience The successful candidates must have a minimum of 5+ years related sales experience in K-12 market. Candidates must have a working knowledge of networking, voice solutions, and cloud computing. Qualified candidates will have a proven history of working autonomously, being self-motivated, and have the ability to work from a home-based office. Strong relationship building skills and management of large, complex clients. Two or more years of experience and sufficient working knowledge of telecommunications.
