Responsibilities My client is looking for an experienced eCommerce Marketing Manager to join the team to drive rapid growth in their eCommerce channel. The eCommerce Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving the overall strategy and execution of programs that drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention for our direct-to-consumer and School-based eCommerce channel. The eCommerce Marketing Manager will develop and implement the marketing plan for the store including but not limited to; email, affiliate, SEM, SEO, social and 3rd party advertising. The ideal candidate will have an eCommerce retail background and the ability to be flexible and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment. Requirements Work collaboratively with all cross-functional teams to help develop, execute, measure, analyze and report on online campaigns across all channels, including:
Drive year over year growth for eCommerce division; while achieving both financial and non-financial objectives
Lead the planning and execution of marketing and promotional calendar, ensuring it supports brand and sales objectives
Research, analyze, prioritize, and execute marketing campaigns and strategies to increase site traffic, incremental revenue, loyalty and new customer acquisition.
Lead and manage all aspects of direct-to-consumer ecommerce marketing in the areas of SEO, Paid Search, Email, Comparison Shopping Engines, Affiliates, 3rd party platforms, referring partners and social media.
Weekly reporting on campaign performance. Track key data metrics including conversion, sales, margin %, marketing income, overall site traffic.
Own and drive end-to-end development execution of marketing campaigns including communication cadence, audience segmentation, analysis and monitoring or marketing best practices
Paid Search (SEM) campaigns to create awareness and drive traffic and sales; work with agency to recommend keyword/campaign strategies to attract new, “ qualified” customers.
Email programs to build loyalty and drive new and repeat purchases; recommend cadence, content, offers, segmentation, etc.
Affiliate Marketing programs to grow audiences and drive traffic and sales; work with agency to recruit appropriate partners and manage program content and offers.
Social networking campaigns and strategic partnerships (internal and external) to increase awareness, acquisition, engagement, conversion, brand loyalty and advocacy.
Run test campaigns, A/B content pages, etc. to optimize performance, generate incremental sales and increase ROI.
Proactively recommend and implement programs to attract and acquire qualified new customers, such as refer-a-friend programs, contests, opt-in invitations, as well as programs to drive increased retention.
Leverage data to develop additional communication strategies around business rules, segmentation, triggered campaigns, etc
Actively manage contact list growth and health to ensure loyalty and engagement
Work collaboratively across Creative, Marketing, Engineering, Operations to ensure objectives and KPI’ s are achieved
Consistently utilize A/B testing with quantifiable test objectives and actionable results across marketing efforts
Monitor competitive activity and react to online trends and best practices.
Initiate, establish and manage relationships with 3rd party service providers as needed for supplemental marketing programs
Qualifications The candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a self-starter who is passionate about eCommerce. He or she must be able to task manage and prioritize activities efficiently. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate expectations and timelines in a timely and clear fashion and have strong written communication skills. The role requires critical analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to establish strong working relationships with partners and stakeholders. The individual should be adept in telling stories through PowerPoint presentations (and any other visual aid tools that are helpful for communications and alignment).
4+ years of ecommerce and digital experience – preferably consumer goods space.
Hands on experience from an e-commerce company with extensive experience in customer acquisition and retention
Proven ability to multi-task, and lead projects and processes across all organizational departments.
Strong understanding of marketing, e-commerce platforms and on-line sales generation
High proficiency in Excel, Analytics Tools and Powerpoint.
Strategic thinker with proven ability to build a consumer brand online.
Deep knowledge of SEO and SEM techniques and management. (CPA, CPS, CPC, PLA) campaigns; including CSE and affiliate programs.
Proven experience building successful with loyalty and customer retention programs.
Strong team spirit with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments with an entrepreneurial team spirit.
