CATERING EXECUTIVE CHEF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and execute a wide variety of catered events and oversee production and delivery of drop-off catering Directs catering and kitchen staff in food handling practices, food preparation, and delivery Costing, pricing, planning and implementing all catering menus Creating and implementing systems to improve organization and efficiencies Delegates food preparation assignments to the kitchen staff Checks quality of all prepared goods by taste, temperature, portioning and appearance Oversee all food truck operations Constant attention to how we can improve our production, packaging, and presentation Interviews, hires, schedules and trains and develops kitchen personnel in procedures, policies and the safe operation of equipment, utensils, and machinery Walks and inspects the equipment, machinery, vehicles, and facility in compliance with safety, health and sanitation regulations, directs and assists personnel to correct any safety or health hazards Work with Catering Manager and Marketing to develop a plan to address social media (and other marketing) needs to increase visibility, bookings, and sales to exceed our goals CATERING EXECUTIVE CHEF QUALIFICATIONS & STANDARDS:
Requires leadership experience as a working chef in a high volume catering operation Understanding and love of hospitality, food, and people a must Computer literate, possess mathematical skills Available to work a variable schedule to include early mornings, late nights, and weekends Work productively and cooperatively in a high volume, fun, fast-paced, highly pressured environment, and able to lead and respond efficiently to unanticipated problems and crises To manage flexibly: disciplined and firm about standards of performance, yet fair and personable in developing employees Strong basic cooking skills and firsthand knowledge of and ability to successfully work the jobs of all staff Think and act creatively to increase catering business and the capabilities of the team. Must communicate and dress professionally and maintain a professional demeanor at all times as a representative of Boston Burger Company Must have a valid Driver s License
Salary Range- $60,000-$75,000
